S/4 Brownfield Conversion

Developed multi-million/multi-year strategy to convert SAP ECC 6.0 Business Suite on HANA to S/4. Presented business case & roadmap to align executive leadership to plan. Directed team of 4 project managers to execute on the developed roadmap. Roadmap included the successful execution of Material Ledger, Business Partner Conversion, FSCM, Settlement Management, Revenue Accounting and Recognition, Taxware & Readsoft Upgrades, eCommerce Upgrade, Custom Code Remediation, Business Continuity and Change Management activities to support reducing risk and providing incremental value in delivering S/4. Oversaw global testing plans and development of a comprehensive conversion methodology to include mock runs, performance tuning, code freezes, and run books to ensure successful execution. Ensured robust business continuity mitigation plans to reduce impact to customers during conversion. Executed robust global change management plan to ensure visibility of program impacts & benefits.

Commercial Expansion

Championed global commercial expansion initiatives by successfully leading ERP conversions in multiple APO markets. Collaborated closely with local entities to enhance business models and streamline processes, while crafting comprehensive technology blueprints to bolster these strategies and drive revenue growth. Meticulously addressed localization needs, encompassing language adaptations, legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Exercised visionary leadership in the strategic design of end-to-end supply chain systems, leveraging both company-owned resources and third and fourth-party logistics partners. Additionally, spearheaded the seamless transition of pricing structures from legacy LIMS systems to SAP in diverse international markets.

Global SAP HANA Upgrade

Orchestrated an upgrade and migration of the global SAP platform from Oracle to HANA. This included the procurement and setup of an enterprise HANA TDI environment, a technical migration using SAP DMO and a functional upgrade to SAP ECC. The team orchestrated a massive testing effort globally and a variety of technical cleansing activities to ensure a seamless implementation. Also managed through this effort was the technical upgrade and migration of our SAP e-commerce solution to HANA & AWS. This hybrid cloud model allows IDEXX to operate our e-commerce site successfully, even if our datacenter is unavailable. During this upgrade, the team proved out the e-commerce offline functionality, collecting over $500k in revenue during the weekend go-live downtime.

SAP OPTI Medical Implementation

Spearheaded a full lifecycle SAP implementation replacing the existing Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution at Opti Medical. This effort supported the order to cash, procure to pay and manufacturing activities. In addition to the technical migration, the team focused on improving business process, aligning with IDEXX best practices, to ensure streamlined operations that would increase revenue, while maintaining compliance with human healthcare regulations.

Full-Lifecycle SAP Migration Projects

Full lifecycle SAP Implementations in China, Taiwan, and Japan replacing the existing Akikura, UFIDA and Chun Yuan ERP solutions in the IDEXX Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei and Tokyo offices. The following modules were included in this implementation. FI, CO, PA, AR, AP, SD, PP, SM, GTS, SCM, MM, IM. Localization requirements were created to interface SAP with China's Golden Tax System, SalesForce.com, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and third party logistics (3PL) vendors. Reporting and specific enhancements requests were delivered per the project requirements.

Business Intelligence

Lead strategic company initiatives to provide access to company data providing insights that enable business models that drive decisions in a quick and efficient way. Completed data migration to an Oracle Exadata platform. Created self-service analytics capabilities developed to provide insights into the company spend data and real time reporting embedded into an IDEXX custom built application for Labs. Provided reporting insights into the company HR data using self-service analytical tools and dashboards through Tableau and evaluated big data options (AWS Hadoop) to mature the BI architecture further.

World Campus Expansion

$35 million dollar construction project of a new 108,000 square foot corporate headquarters. My responsibility was to outfit the new building with state of the art technology for the general office space, fitness center and cafeteria.

Cyber Security Program

Established robust Cyber Security program to address security controls framework and global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, POPIA, etc.). Adopted the NIST framework to build business case and roadmap to address security vulnerabilities. Projects implemented from this program include Security Information Event Management, Data Loss Protection, Data Discovery, NextGen Firewalls, Network Segmentation, Multi-Factor Authentication, Security Key Management, Mobile Device Management, Data Encryption, Vulnerability Scanning and more.

Supply Chain Digitization

Multi-year program to transform how IDEXX interacts with suppliers, providing seamless integration to improve visibility and lower operational costs. Procured and implemented the Ariba cloud platform which enabled electronic transactions and connections to suppliers. This improved visibility to the entire transactional process and reduced risk through supplier forecasting.

HR Platform Renewal

Led and guided an HR HCM Usability Renewal project, harnessing the potential of SAP Webdyn Pro and HTML5 technologies to drive a remarkable transformation of the Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service applications. Facilitated the creation of wireframes and actively engaged end users to ensure impactful usability (UX) improvements and an intuitive interface. Orchestrated a collaborative approach that involved stakeholders at every step, resulting in a seamless user experience and enhanced efficiency. Additionally, successfully executed version upgrades to the backend HCM and SAP PO systems, optimizing system functionality and performance.
